I was pleasantly surprised by this quiet little Indien restaurant in a calm and residential part of Lausanne, a short 10 minute walk from the main train station. A local friend of mine recommended it and I was dubious but decided to try it since it was close to the flat. Wow! The service was warm and attentive yet the food was even better! Spices and herbs....meats that have been properly marinated then cooked to perfection and,, at dinner, served with both Dal and spinach. The portions of everything were so copious that I took home my leftovers and enjoyed a complete dinner the next evening with them! At lunch time, an amazing choice between an inexpensive yet delicious lunch buffet (and I loathe buffets in general and avoid them, but this is not like that....home cooked as if for a large dinner party) complete with Naan bread and papadams as well as daal soup, salads....all fresh, all too good to turn away. The lunch buffet is CH19! And the plate of the day (today a cooked Perch filet) was CH16.90. I am in the process of relocating to Lausanne from Paris and look forward to enjoying many meals in this restaurant in the years to come.
