The Ordnance Department is located in the castle area, originally the National Shipyard and Armory was mainly used to equip the Venetian Navy.
When I went there I saw students from the naval school next to it also came to visit. To be honest, this place is boring, especially after visiting the Maritime History Museum, there is no need to come here at all. It is small and there is nothing to see.
It's a scenic spot that I visited by the way. I don't think it's much to see. It feels a bit similar to the Maritime History Museum. There are many models of ships inside, because Venice was just a maritime country before.
The Armory is not far from the Naval Academy in Venice. Actually, I think the Naval Academy is more interesting than this place. The Armory Museum is quite small, and it displays some guns and ships.
It's really unnecessary to come over, it's not close, and it's just a small building. Most of the things you can see in it are the models of some boats, and they are all small boats. There is no big boat yet, so I think it has no value.
