San Lazaro Island is a small island in the Venetian Lagoon. Compared with the main island of Venice, there are a lot less tourists, but it is also more peaceful.
The buildings on the island are very beautiful, they all feel like small peasant houses, but the colors are very bright, and the shapes of the houses are also very strange. Every family has a different house shape, and it feels like they have come to the fairy tale kingdom.
In the summer months, there are direct flights from Yerevan to Venice. The indigenous people of San Lazaro Island are Armenians. The church on the island has twelve monks, which are still important in the history of Armenian culture. Status because of its collection of precious manuscripts and old books printed in Venice, including well-preserved Egyptian mummies.
There are not many people on the beautiful island. It is very suitable for quietly admiring all kinds of exhibits and artworks. It is not very noisy like other places.
The most famous one on the island is the monastery. The overall building is relatively well protected, like a fine artwork. The building with red brick walls appears slender and extended as a whole. Although the cave-shaped arcade is not covered with murals, the golden outlines in the corners still outline the structure of the building. Come here and don’t miss to bring a few bottles of jam back, it tastes good
