Leopold Museum is a museum focusing on modern art, is the world's largest collection of Kremt's works of exhibition, like contemporary art students can not miss the place. What I have always seen is the classical art of Austria. Only when I walk in here can I find that contemporary Austrian art is equally wonderful.
This museum should be the one with the most classical works of Austrian art. The exhibits are also very warm. The works of Schiller and Klimt are on display here. Most of the paintings are classical realism, and Klimt's works have been exhibited from June to November. Almost the life of the master has been fully displayed. Generally speaking, it's a museum worth seeing.
The Leopold Museum, a masterpiece of contemporary Austria, is located in the Vienna Museum area. The Leopold Museum is one of the top ten cultural centers in the world. Museum architecture is world-renowned. It has a collection of hundreds of contemporary Austrian masterpieces collected by the enthusiastic art enthusiast Dr. Rudolf Leopold, including the famous Austrian expressionist painter's paintings, sketches and watercolours. Rudolf Leopold is the most outstanding contemporary art collector. He has extraordinary artistic vision. When he first visited the Austrian Museum of Art History in 1947 and saw Egon Schiele's works, he discovered the potential artistic charm and collection value of the works. He immediately decided to start collecting Schiller's works. He collects while practicing medicine. By 1994, his collection was worth 500 million dollars. This year, he and the Austrian government set up a mutual fund. Rudolf Leopold's collection of 5266 Schiller pieces was sold to the government with a third of its value. The government established a museum for the collection and named it after him.
I visited this museum to see the works of Egon Schiele, (largest collection in the world) but stayed for hours, looking at just about every painting, which is rare for me. the permanent exhibitions include, Vienna 1900, Egon Schiele, and From Expressionism to Objectivity. Note that some of the work shown here were taken from Jewish owners during the Nazi era and ownership of these pieces is in dispute.
Some museums seem stuffy when they have such world renown pieces such as "The Scream", but this place seemed like a friendly, vigrant, young local hangout. Situated nicely within an active and busy local square, the museum was one of the most approachable displays of Art I have ever visited.
