The Arc de Triomphe is a majestic war monument in Vientiane, Laos, built from 1957 to 1968. It was built by the French government to commemorate the independence of Laos. It was completed by French and Lao designers. The exterior symbolizes the spirit of the Arc de Triomphe in France, while the interior uses the mythology of Laos as the main axis of the relief. The pagoda on the top of the tower also has a strong national architectural style.
Patuxay means Victory Gate and is located right in the center of the capital of Laos. It was built to remember the soldiers who fought for independence from France. It was designed by a Laotian architect and when I view the monument, I feel that it looks a bit like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. We bought tickets to go up the top. The city view is so breathtaking and we could see four directions. Before reaching the top, we saw four towers at four corners which look as nice as the main monument. On the ground there are very nice palm trees and ponds. Traffic around the monument looks like no one is rushing as all are passing through a very beautiful symbol of the country. The monument and decorations are stunning to me. I’m so impressed.
fantastic place to go see in laos thr park and the scenery where beautiful go again
