Almost entirely demolished by the Nazis during World War II. Warsaw has since risen from the ashes and re established itself as the capital of Poland. Not surprisingly, postwar architecture of Warsaw is rather bleak, a legacy of the Soviet Union’s iron grip on the region. However, the Polish rebuilt the historical old town in the ŚRódmieśCore (inner city) district, with beautiful buildings such as the Palace of Culture and Science (a complex with two universities, several theaters, a museum and a concert hall), the Royal Castle, the Castle Square and the Polish Parliament. The area also caters to history buff with a variety of museums such as the Warsaw History Museum and the Frederick Chopin Museum.
Guest UserMy very first time in Warsaw. Comfortable and modern city located in the Eastern Europe. I didn't have feeling I'm far away from home. The prices are middle, fine infrastructure and public transport.lll
_We***16park is so huge! wonderful palace is surrounded by small rivers, ducks are swimming. a lot of squrrels are running along the park, they can come so close to you, so you can feed them. unfortunately we didn’t have any nuts. there are a lot of benches and chairs where you can rest. and restaurant in the middle of the park.
_We***49History, romance, ambience. Looking for something special, take a stroll through the old town. Most of the historical buildings around the Vistula River are still in excellent condition (or were rebuilt in the original style) and many occupied by tourist shops or restaurants catering for tourist walking groups. Is kind of small when compare to other eu old town . however is still a must to visit when you are i. warsaw . avoid eating there as the price is much more higher and the food might not taste as good ..
小鱼儿2015The National Museum of Warsaw is also a very simple place. There are a lot of museums, national-level collection areas, and many areas are more interesting. You can also see a lot of precious objects in the museum.
Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland. The metropolis stands on the Vistula River in east-central Poland and its population is officially estimated at 1.8 million residents within a greater metropolitan area of 3.1 million residents, which makes Warsaw the 7th most-populous capital city in the European Union. The city limits cover 517.24 square kilometres (199.71 sq mi), while the metropolitan area covers 6,100.43 square kilometres (2,355.39 sq mi). Warsaw is an alpha- global city, a major international tourist destination, and a significant cultural, political and economic hub. Its historical Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Christmas in Warsaw!
Stayed in Warsaw for Christmas!
We thought it would be quiet. Yes! It was super quiet on the Christmas Eve but it became lively on Christmas Day! 😜
I would love to visit Warsaw in the future! 😉
This is the 360 degrees view from the top of the Palace of Culture and Science located in the hearth of Warsaw. You can see the Vistula river and the big boulevards around. Also very notable are the many skyscrapers of the city. It costs something around $5 to visit it, so it is so convenient.
hen I heard of Warsaw Rising Museum I was sceptical at once as it sounded like USSR war museum and even though the history of this subject is really important usually the visit to such places had no big meaning as all you are going to get is sad was and grave heart. yet my friends insisted on going there do my girlfriend and I went to the museum and had a great impression as this museum has all things set differenty, not only facts which never touch your soup but the whole scenes of life, sometimes cruel, sometimes scary but sometimes full of Hope. I really appreciate this kind of dramatisation as it helps is to understand the past closer.

After 10 hours of flight, arrived in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.
The hotel is near the old town of Warsaw. There are countless churches that have not been seen in a few streets. The only thing to remember is the Church of the Holy Cross, which is buried in the heart of Chopin.
