In the center of Warsaw’s Old Town Square stands a marble stone pillar. At the top of the pillar is a bronze statue of Zygmunt III. The statue holds the cross in his left hand and holds a sharp sword in his right hand. It looks like an angel of justice and guards the city. This is Zig Mont III Memorial Column.
The memorial column is said to be built to commemorate the transfer of the capital to Warsaw by the former King Sigmund III. The memorial column is located in the middle of the castle square and has become one of the landmarks of the Warsaw Old Town. The original was destroyed during World War II. Now this one was rebuilt after World War II. .
