The Old Town Market Square is the heart of Warsaw Old Town, and it is also a particularly lively and bustling place in Warsaw. There are unique Polish traditional restaurants, cafes and shops. After the Warsaw Uprising, it was once destroyed by the Germans and it was not until the end of World War II that reconstruction began. During reconstruction, the original appearance of the Old Town Market Square was preserved as much as possible, so it still has the old appearance.
