The Barbican was built in 1548, it is directly situated where the Old Town merges into in the New Town. It served as an access gate for the Old Town and is integrated directly into the Warsaw City Wall that surrounds the Old Town.

第一次在欧洲看到了红砖砌成的城门和城墙，和中国的城墙很像，有一种熟悉的感觉，城门和城墙很单薄，能起到防御的功能吗？护城河都干涸了。我们顺便也吃了一个便饭。

巴比肯就是华沙的老城，但这座红砖砌成的城堡也是后来重建的。这里原本是华沙古城的防御工事，现在里面有个小型的展览馆，展示一些华沙的老照片，从中可以看出波兰的命运几经起伏十分的坎坷。

巴比肯 名字有点意思 光看名字完全一头雾水 据说是音译 其实吧 就是华沙城一个位于老城和新城之间的防御工事 沿着华沙博物馆往西北方向走走就到了 虽然是二战之后重新建造的新建筑 但是人们依然能在这里感受到当时战争的气氛 而现今这里是华沙著名的旅游景点
