Its a beautiful castle, with brilliant actors on hand to bring it to life. There a few picnic tables to eat your lunch on, plus masses of grass for picnics. Make sure you park in the Stratford Road car park as its free, but the one on Castle Hill is expensive.

Walwey Castle is one of the most famous medieval castles in England, built in 914, with a 1100 year twisting history. This majestic fortress stands on the banks of the Evan River, originally a fortification built by William the Conqueror in 1068, and in the 1850s, designed and built by Brown, covering 64 acres of gardens. The castle is well preserved and complete, with towers, barriers, dungeons, state rooms, Victorian apartments, mills and power engine rooms still open to visitors. Walwey Castle is located in the heart of the British Highway Network, easy to get to from London and Birmingham, 20 minutes from Birmingham and 15 minutes from William Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford on the Evan River. 40 minutes drive from Oxford and Bistros Shopping Village. M40 Highway hub 15 connects the castle to London, the southeast section and Heathrow Airport, and Warwick Castle is 30 minutes drive from Birmingham International Airport, connected by rail and road. The present castle, built in stone during the reign of King Henry II, was at the same address as the original Norman Castle. There used to be a fortress in the southwest of the site, although most of the existing buildings were built in the post-medieval period. In the seventeenth century, the adobe garden added a path to it. The walls were added to the new castle and surrounded by stone walls. When King Henry II rebuilt the Wall, he redesigned the curtain wall. The north of the castle is surrounded by a dry moat, with no protection from a river or a former adobe; the curtain wall is 130 meters long (140 yards) and 82 meters wide (90 yards). The two gates of the castle are located in the north and west of the wall. The northwest originally had a drawbridge across the moat.
