Barracks Gate is located in the west of Perth CBD. On St. George's Avenue, it is better than the Capitol Building of neighboring countries. Here we can learn about the colonial history of Western Australia. It is an important landmark of Perth. It used to be part of a large barracks, built in the 1960s for prisoners, and the residence of registered retired guards and their families. With the demolition of the barracks, the arch was preserved.
