苏默候If you have plenty of time, ohope beach is a good choice. It’s only 1 hour and 20 minutes’ drive from Rotorua. It’s not like Auckland’s beaches. There are few people here and there is plenty of sunshine. Take a leisurely stroll on the beach, feed the birds, dig clams and catch crabs. , Fishing at the pier, it feels good to be far away from the city. On a sunny day, I drove the car to the end of the beach (at the gate of the Golf Club). There was no light at all. The Milky Way was clearly visible. I was lucky enough to see meteors. My friends and I went there 3 times. , I saw a meteor twice, so I don’t have to go to Lake Tekapo in the South Island

Geological Sites
pxy0705The Gate of Hell in Rotorua is definitely a very magical geological landscape. The middle-aged smoke here is misty, and the geothermal resources continue to pop out, making the surrounding lake without any creatures and plants, just like coming to the intersection of hell, but in fact, this is a natural hot spring, and you can also soak here. A mud bath feels very magical.

d36***08The Maori are the aboriginals of New Zealand and the earliest aborigines of this land. Rotorua is a gathering place for Maori people. There are many Maori cultural villages in the Rotorua area. Through numerous Maori-style buildings and sculptures, as well as geothermal fountains that can be seen everywhere, visitors are shown the long history and culture of the Maori people and the unique geothermal landscape of Rotorua. The Te Puia Maori Cultural Village, located on the south side of Lake Rotorua, is the one with the richest resources, the most comprehensive displays, and the most popular. Walk into the cultural village with strong ethnic style. In the solemn conference hall, sonorous and charming Maori songs and dances are performed; on the spacious promenade, colorful and unique Maori sculptures are displayed; the reconstructed living area is scattered In the old, simple and durable aboriginal dwellings and storage rooms; in the small kiwi exhibition hall, a few lazy birds pacing among the gloomy grass~ It is a blessing to see and gain insight.

Ornamental Hot spring
pxy0705The Waiotapu Geothermal Wonderland is Rotorua’s most famous geothermal landscape. The middle-aged smoky and thick geothermal heat emits white smoke from the ground. It feels like being in a fairyland. The lakes here are mostly yellow-green. , Very different, because the lake is full of sulfur and other minerals, so it forms such a peculiar landscape.

Forest
Ancient Trees
d36***08Rotorua Redwood Forest Park, located on the south side of Lake Rotorua, covers an area of 55,000 square meters. It was opened to tourists in 1995. Towering ancient trees, shavings and leaves, unique landscapes, and fresh air in the park are must-see spots for visiting Rotorua. I visited the park and left the most impressive 3 attractions. 1. "Seven Fairies" mother and child tree. A giant tree that is uprooted and lying on the ground, on its trunk, grows tenaciously with seven big trees of different thicknesses and straight upwards. They are slim and close together, like seven descending fairies. The most tourists in the park must be the "seven fairies". 2. A giant tree with a diameter of 2.2 meters. Old trees in the park have a diameter at breast height of more than 40 cm. The thickest giant tree with a diameter at breast height of 2.2 meters and a bust of nearly 7 meters requires 4 to 5 big men to hold it together. 3. The canopy trail. Not far from the entrance of the park, a 553-meter long "canopy trail" is suspended in the air. The trail is made up of 22 viewing platforms built between 22 big trees and 23 suspension bridges with a height of 6-12 meters. It is a different kind of enjoyment to stroll on it and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest from a different perspective. Tips: Old trees in the park are more than 50 meters high. You must use the "panoramic vertical shooting" mode of photography to take a complete photo of people and trees.
