City Park
Millennium Park is a large public park in Chicago, Illinois. It is the most famous section of Grant Park, and is home to most of the park’s attraction highlights, namely the Cloud Gate sculpture. The park is one of the largest green roofs in the world, as it was built on top of parking garages and a railroad yard. Chicagoans take great pride in the park, and no expense is spared in keeping it clean and trim.

Observation Deck
Hate waiting for elevators? You might want to consider finding yourself a job inside the former headquarters of Sears, Roebuck, and Company; it has 103 of them so, chances are, there will always be one waiting for you. The skyscraper, formerly known as the Sears Tower (a name which is still commonly used), is actually nine square buildings bundled together; an engineering strategy to help the 110 storey structure resist Chicago’s infamously high winds. When it finished construction in 1974, it was the world’s tallest building at 1,451 feet. The 110 storey building lost that title to the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1998. The Skydeck, on the 103rd floor, allows visitors the best view of the city and provides an interactive experience. Those with a strong constitution can even step out into one of several glass boxes that hang over the building’s ledge.

Featured Neighbourhood
Chinatowns throughout the world tend to have rather itinerant histories. Chicago’s is no exception. In 1890, it was situated along Clark between Van Buren and Harrison Streets. By 1910, it settled in its current locale near Cermak Road and Wentworth Avenue, but has expanded over the years. Today, the colorful corner of the city is alive with traditional festivals, the scents of exotic spices from vendors, and a cacophony of dialects emanating from busy dumpling houses and noodle shops. Whether you come for the dim sum or the dragon boat races, this is a culturally rich section of Chicago worth exploring.
