About Wuxi

Wuxi, the “Taihu Pearl,” is a famous city for history and culture with more than 3000 years of history. At Shantouyu, praised as “the best place to view Taihu Lake,” the great Lingshan Buddha is majestic and heavy with incense, and the sense of Zen is palpable at Wuxi's Nianhua Bay has a strong Zen. Interesting and appealing antiquities with a long history are contained in the Donglin Academy. Jiangnan's famous Jichang, Li, and Mei Gardens display the exquisite garden appearance of Wuxi. Wuxi has had an abundance of quality products since ancient times and is China's famous “land of rice and fish.” The Taihu Sanbai ("three whites") whitefish, whitebait, and white prawn are all great delicacies of the area. The Huishan clay figurines, Wuxi spareribs, and Wuxi fried gluten balls are Wuxi's three best products and all make great gifts to take home with you.

Statue/Sculpture
The Lingshan Giant Buddha is located on Xiaoling Mountain on the edge of Taihu Lake in Wuxi. Its scale is grand and spectacular. Many great masters came to hold grand ceremonies during its opening, and thus Chinese locals believe that it will bring good fortune if one prays to the great Buddha. There is also an interesting thing to try out when visiting the Buddha. When you look up at the Buddha and walk left or right, regardless of where you go, the eyes of the Buddha are always watching you, as if "the Dharma is boundless and sees everything."

There is a chinese saying “Taihu Lake is a wonderful place because of Turtle Head Island.” During the early 20th century, social celebrities, officials and nobles built private gardens and villas on Turtle Head Island. After the founding of the People's Warlord Era, these assets were mostly taken over by the government and merged into the Turtle Head Park. It is currently an AAAAA attraction. There are taoist temples and buddha statues on the island. If you visit during the spring season, you will also be able to enjoy charming surroundings filled with cherry blossoms!

Spring and summer in Jiangnan are beautiful. There are blue skies and white clouds. Meiyuan, as the name suggests, is full of plum trees, but we did not go in the season of plum blossoms. The reason why I came to Meiyuan is because the gardens in the south of the Yangtze River are beautiful all year round. The quaint buildings in the park and the green plants in the garden are all wonderful to enjoy under the clear sky. Of course, the main reason is that Wuxi Meiyuan is inextricably linked with the Rong family of the first national industrial industry in China.

Huishan Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Wuxi City, only 2.5 kilometers away from the city center. The ancient town is characterized by the dense distribution of ancient temples and is known as the “Wuxi Open Air Museum”. These ancient Shu cultural sites are rich in heritage. Although they have been around for 3,500 years since their construction, their original features have been preserved very well. It is said to be one of the well-preserved blocks in Wuxi Old Street. There is such a quaint archway on the main street of the ancient town. It is said that in ancient times when the mountains were filled with beautiful flowers, many people came here to enjoy the view, and because the flowers were more fragrant and they were everywhere, the soles of the tourists would be stained with flowers, so they were named "Five Lixiang". Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, strolling through the streets of the ancient town, the outstanding town of Huishan seems to bring you into another life of the people, quiet and leisurely.

The first stop we made at the Taihu Lake Scenic Spot in Wuxi City was Taihu Xiandao. After the car was inspected, it went straight to the dock. The ship journey was 25 minutes long. After boarding Xiandao, I passed the Xianxian Bridge. We came to Tianjie. Most of the names here are named after a form of heaven. After all, this is a “Xiandao”. Along the road, I came to the Taoist Temple, which is the highest place on the island, and then returned to the ship along the statue of the grotto and returned to the dock. If you want to take a good look at it, it will take about two or three hours.

In Gion Park, adults and children can go for leisure. But it is very unexpected because there are amusements mostly for young people. There are viewing platforms. The Ferris wheel is recommended. Sitting on the Ferris wheel, it is very stable, and you can also see the beautiful views of Wuxi. The entire playground is also a panoramic view. When it comes to the top, it is just the sunset of Taihu Lake. It is worth watching. It is a very good place to go to have fun. Take your children every time, wherever you go, it is not too far.

When traveling to Wuxi, you must visit the Taihu Lake. The scenery of Shantou is beyond beautiful, and it has the essence of Taihu Lake’s view. Therefore, it is called the first place in Taihu Lake. The perfect place for Taihu Lake, after all, is in Shantou", this is the praise poem written by Guo Moruo when he traveled to this place. I like to feel the breeze here very much, and it is very refreshing with the smell of the lake water and flowers. Shantouyu Scenic Area is a famous modern garden, one of the three most beautiful cherry blossom spots in the world. You can watch the "Night Sakura", the first in China, and the fireworks. The flowers are very beautiful in red, pink, white, and they look very pleasant. On the outskirts of the Sakura Valley, there is a large area covered in cherry blossoms, which are intertwined under the cherry trees and are very pleasing to the eye. The twilight time at dusk is so pleasant, even if you sit quietly and look at the sky, it gives you pleasure. At this moment, it is a great pleasure to have a good time with your friends. I am always looking forward to such an opportunity to enjoy such a pleasant moment.
