Xi’an City is one of the world's four great ancient cities, being most famous for its role as the starting point of the Silk Road. In the past, it was previously known as Chang'an. Familiar to every Chinese person, this is a name that evokes a sense of pride. Xi’an is widely regarded as the greatest city in Chinese history. During imperial dynasties such as the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang, this was the nation's capital city. The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor sits quietly on the outskirts of town waiting to welcome visitors. Big Wild Goose Pagoda offers adventure for travelers in search of traces left behind by monk Xuanzang. The towering heights of the city walls have 600 legends and stories to tell. Xi’an City's local delicacies are a must-try. There are many different types of food, all of which are completely suffused with the characteristics of northwestern China. They are highly praised.
rwwishartOf course it’s hard for something as storied as the Terracotta Warriors to completely live up to hype and expectations, but they come awfully close to doing so. Pro-tip: walk the galleries in reverse order so you save the largest hall with the most recognizable figures for last. This makes it much better experience.
_AP***62Beautiful place to take a wake or ride a bike. I would have done the whole round of 13,74km if I hadn’t had my kids with me. Great place to see the old town and enjoy a walk.
MaxSThis is very romantic place! Couples, please, do not miss this spot! Bright, beautiful and romantic! The park is big and includes several sections. Small performances are organized in every part and shown during the day several times. The big show is evening gala, must be watched! The story of Xi'an, former Chang An, told via dancing and music with very professional actors. This place has a special meaning for me... I met here my wife))))
MaxSBig park, including a hill for climbing. Every evening there is a performance with bright special effects, please, book tickets online in advance. Theme is love story happened here in Hua Qing pool. The area is interesting for slow walking, There is also peace of modern history, the hidden hq of Chinese rebels and brave fighting (the bullets are not removed from the walls ). The second theatrical performance is dedicated to that case.
_We***13Many activities for children. The prices is reasonable, train bus and the show's included. Take a bus to feed the tiger is a MUST. The show takes time but it worthwhile.
Missing home like most who live and work abroad these days — but thinking of 2019 when my mom got to come see me in China and visit a new place with me! Xi’an was beautiful and fun! Wishing to go back just as soon as I can to see more of a place I already have such good memories of🤍

Shaanxi, Xi'an. This is Da Ming Palace aka 大明宫. Area is big and allow to walk for long time and enjoy the good weather. This place was ex residence of very famous person... Wuza Tian. Yes, that was her recreation Palace. It is hard to imagine how great the celebrations were there. Now this is ruins. Platforms are well preserved and looks pretty interesting. The small reconstruction with all this tiny houses and pavilions looks amazing. I'm intrigued whether or not the palace will be restored in natural size. It must be amazing.

The best place to spend Chinese New Year is Xian. It is one of the oldest cities in China with more than 3000 years history. The city wall of Xian, pagodas, and all central part of the city looks magical in the evening. Fantastic place to visit during winter vacation.
