There are more than 1,000 varieties of tropical and subtropical economic plants and flowers planted in the garden. The Overseas Chinese Subtropical Plant Introduction Garden covers an area of more than 200 mu and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. It starts from Yingying Mountain in the east, passes through Jimu Mountain and Bread Mountain in the north, reaches Langdong Mountain in the west, and faces the sea in the south, forming a horseshoe-shaped valley. The whole garden is divided into introduction nursery, experimental nursery, flowerbed, exhibition greenhouse, cultivation greenhouse and shade shed. There are fruit tree area, economic forest area, medicinal plant area, aromatic plant area and aquatic plant area. Entering the flower exhibition room, the flower bonsai that competes for its beauty is praised. There are cyclamen native to Mediterranean pink flowers with red calyx and emerald leaves with golden veins, purple flower yellow stamens and dark-leafed violets native to Africa, broad-leaved lanceolate tulips native to Europe and willow-shaped flowers, native to The fragrant Phalaenopsis in Southeast Asia, etc. In the Tropical Herbarium, there are world-renowned trees, mahogany, iron and teak, avocados with oil content as high as 20%, and Sumatra acacia, a parasitic tree of valuable industrial raw material shellac. Among tropical fruit trees, there are Venus fruit, egg yolk fruit, snake skin fruit, Wending fruit, Feiyu fruit, seedless guava, and various custard apples. Tropical medicinal plants include Thai phoenix, gum arabic, sandalwood, cat's whisker and so on. Tropical spice and beverage plants are vanilla, ylang-ylang, coffee, cocoa, etc.
