Dongtaishan National Forest Park

Dongtaishan National Forest Park is located in the Xiangxiang Chengnan Economic Development Zone of Xiangtan City on the shore of Lianshui, across the river from the urban area, with a total area of 370 square kilometers. The location is superior, the transportation is convenient, the mountain is beautiful, and the shape is like a phoenix flying in the sky. Dongtai Mountain, also known as Phoenix Mountain, is located in the upper reaches of Lianshui, 4km southeast of Xiangxiang City. The topography here is formed by the uplifted part of the faulted basin formed by the Yanshan movement that started from the Jurassic, and has the typical characteristics of faults on the Neocathaysian structural belt. The altitude in the territory is 63.5～323.0m. The park covers an area of 3.358 square meters. The main ridge in the park is clear and extends from northeast to southwest. Along the ridge, the entire park is divided into two major slopes: southeast and northwest. The southeast slope, facing the rolling low hills, is uplifted in the shape of "multi", and there are holes between the hills. There are dense forests on the mountain, lush trees, shades of trees to protect summer, red leaves to welcome autumn, flowers in four seasons, birds sing, beautiful environment and beautiful scenery. The natural mineral water here is sweet and fragrant like pepper orchid, which can be called oriental water. Cultural relics, long history, famous far and wide. The original Wen Pagoda, Octagonal Pavilion, and Phoenix Temple have a history of more than a thousand years; the medicine-tanning stone and medicine-washing well used by the second daughters of the Heng clan in the Tang Dynasty to practice alchemy and seek immortality, and the heavenly calligraphy stone beside it has a unique charm; the purple tree Xuantai has unique scenery; the leader The towers and generals are tall and straight, beautiful and majestic; the Yinfeng Bridge and the gate tower group are antique, wonderfully constructed, and unique; the Phoenix Villa integrates pavilions, pavilions, steles, calligraphy and paintings, exotic flowers and plants, and mountain and game, which is fascinating and refreshing.
