Nanjing Museum
Nanjing Museum is located at No. 321, Zhongshan East Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It is one of the three major museums in China, also known as Nanjing Museum or Nanbo. Its predecessor was the National Central Museum founded by Cai Yuanpei and others in the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933). It is the earliest museum in China and the first large-scale comprehensive museum built by national investment. It is now a large-scale comprehensive national museum, the first batch of national first-class museums, the first batch of national museums jointly built by the central and local governments, a national AAAA tourist attraction, a national key cultural relics protection unit and a 20th century architectural heritage of China.
Nanjing Museum covers an area of more than 130,000 square meters, with a 'one museum, six galleries' layout, namely the History Museum, Special Exhibition Museum, Digital Museum, Art Museum, Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and Republic of China Museum. In addition, the museum has 'six' research departments, namely the Archaeological Research Institute, Cultural Relics Protection Research Institute, Ancient Architecture Research Institute, Exhibition Art Research Institute, Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Research Institute, and Ancient Art Research Institute. It also has the only ethnology and folklore research institution in Chinese museums. Among them, the Cultural Relics Protection Research Institute is known as the 'Cultural Relics Triple-A Hospital', which is a key research base of the National Cultural Relics Bureau for the protection of paper cultural relics.
As of 2018, Nanjing Museum has a total of 432,768 pieces (sets) of various collections, including 371,032 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics. The number of precious cultural relics ranks second in China, second only to the Palace Museum. The museum's collections range from the Old Stone Age to the present; they are both national and regional; they include both court heirlooms and archaeological excavations, as well as a part of them collected and donated by the society, all of which are treasures and excellent works of all dynasties and generations, and treasures that have attracted much attention from the academic circles at home and abroad. The museum has all kinds of cultural relics, such as bronze, jade, ceramics, gold and silver utensils, bamboo, wood, ivory, lacquerware, silk embroidery, calligraphy and painting, seals, stele carvings and statues. Each type forms its own historical series, which is the most direct witness to the development of Chinese civilization over thousands of years.
Overall, the child learns a lot. The explanation is very patient. There are a lot of people, and the young lady found a place for the children to sit down and stand by herself and tell them. Very hard. Overall very satisfied
Very pleasant museum trip. Thank you for the careful explanation of the tour guide. Unlock a lot of knowledge. I will come back later. The collection of Nanbo is rich. It is worth visiting often. There are many more to watch slowly.
Nanbo's experience is very good, Fei Ge's explanation is patient and professional, I push! ! Brother Fei's explanation seems to make these thousands of years of cultural relics instantly alive and let the visitors instantly cross to that moment and feel the historical and cultural charm of the Chinese nation for five thousand years. The Forbidden City is left in the three major museums in China. I will also check in another day and it will be complete. 😃
Nanjing Museum as one of the three major museums, it is a must to see. The number of cultural relics is second only to the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is still very worth a visit. The cultural relics chapter, but unfortunately the special exhibition area is decorated without a cover. Others are free, and the stamp is taken with the edge. Still like Nanbo very much, very good looking, it is not too much to spend a long time. Plus Wenchuang is doing very well and it is worth going. It is difficult to make an appointment.
National senior tour guide Wang Qian about 1:30 pm, we arrived early, Wang Dao sent a message that he can start in advance, the explanation is vivid, the children who say can absorb understanding, it is very interesting that each museum says that it is good to consolidate the knowledge point hahaha I feel like a teacher teaching questions. The opportunity will also choose this way of visiting, you really just look at it yourself.
Guide Wang, the country's senior tour guide, is knowledgeable, took us to see the precious collection, explained the interesting history and culture, and learned a lot! No need to travel!
The explanation of Wang Guide is great! The knowledge is rich, the explanation is focused, and there are characteristics. Three hours passed without knowing it, and it feels not enough. Finally, Wang Guide also gave Nanjing attractions suggestions, the service is not in place 👍🏻
