Yangqu

Yangqu, located in northeast Shanxi Province, comprises three areas of different terrain: mountains, hills, and rivers and streams. Cultural sites here include the Yunlin (“Cloud Forest”) Temple, which features a grand temple hall, carved and painted roof beams, and wall murals. The space is at once grand, elegant, and naturally styled, a model of architectural artistry. In addition, the remains of an ancient city and burial site that are a group of Han dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE) tombs are only 30 kilometers from the county seat. At the pleasant Second Reservoir of the Fen River, you can stand on the mountaintop and gaze outward to enjoy a beautiful view of waterfalls. The area is a great destination for lovely natural scenery.
