Dongquan Gate Historic District

Dongquanmen Historical and Cultural District is located in Dongguan Street, Yangzhou. At that time, the gate was built to the arch and Wei two Huaidu to transfer the salt transportation to the Siqian Department. There are warehouses, inner houses and official offices in the department. The current Dongquanmen Building is rebuilt in modern times.

After several years of construction, the East Gate and the East Circle Gate have been rebuilt. Today, many old houses and old courtyards have been restored or rebuilt in the old streets of Shuangdong District, such as Hu Zhonghan's former residence, Changle Inn, Street South Bookstore, Fahrenheit Garden, Xiong Chengji's former residence, Yixuan, Wudang Palace, Huyuan, etc.

The East Circle Gate Historic District is composed of East Circle Gate Street, Sanzhuyi Street and Diguandi Street. The area is a witness to the historical development of Yangzhou City and the birthplace of Yangzhou Canal Culture and Salt Business Culture.

Yangzhou has more than 500 crisscrossed streets. Because the street is directly from west to east to Dongguan City Gate, or directly to Dongguan Ancient Ferry. It is an intriguing line book that concentrates Yangzhou's millennium history and thousands of customs.

Walking around Dongguan Street in Yangzhou, you can feel the contribution of Huizhou ancestors in Yangzhou history. The south of Jiezhou Bookstore was the place where Yangzhou Cultural Activities Center and humanities gathered together. The founder of the Ma Brothers was Qimen people of Huizhou. The history of Chinese salt industry, the history of Qing Dynasty, the history of commercial culture, and the history of Yangzhou all mention "Erma of Yangzhou". On Dongguan Street in Yangzhou, Xie Fuchun, a centuries-old Chinese name, is the founder of Xie Hongye from Huizhou. No wonder the folk proverb "Yangzhou is the most beautiful woman in the world" uses Xie Fuchun's perfume. Therefore, Yangzhou folk proverb - "Beauty is fragrant, poor people half a year's grain.
