9th Century Architectural Marvel
My visit to Borobudur Temple in Central Java, Indonesia was eye opening. Located about 1 hours drive to Yogyakarta, it was akin to stepping into a world of ancient wonders. If you have been there, you would agree that this massive temple, built over 1,000 years ago, is truly a breathtaking architectural marvel. And beyond just being a pretty sight, the rich cultural heritage and history makes this a must see for anyone visiting the Yogyakarta region.
Currently (as of March 2024), we can now have full access to the temple structure but there is a daily limit of 1,200 visitors. I highly recommend getting the Temple Guided Tour ticket from Trip.com, as opposed to the Borobudur Temple Tickets, as having a guide that explains a brief history of the temple, the carvings on the wall, the religious context etc makes a world of difference. Having made you way there, wouldn’t you want to also go up the temple structure (up the the 9th level)? Also, you get a free pair of sandals when you join the full tour!

I want to travel to Hong Kong to experience its vibrant city life, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking skyline. From bustling markets to the multitude of shopping malls, Hong Kong offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and modernity that I can't wait to explore.
It is the largest famous Buddhist temple located in Central Java. This temple is a very interesting place to visit. You will be taken around Borobudur by a tour guide in a small group. He will explain the historical background and exemplary story behind its construction. It's amazing.
a majestic history at the centre of indonesia jogyakarta.a really nice view from a far on the history of borubodur
"Four Relics of Ancient Oriental" 🛕 Borobudur in Central Java, Indonesia, is the world's largest single Buddhist temple building. I have been to the Great Wall of China for more than a thousand years. There are currently two places to go to "Angkor Wat Cambodia" and "Taj Mahal India". Haling said that the shock of Buddhism in Thailand has shocked me enough to say that in the big city or Sukhothai, but I really didn't expect to understand what the real shock was in front of Borobudur! The wall retains the exquisite wall carvings telling the story of Buddha. Going up one layer by layer will see Buddha and endless volcanoes and grasslands. I didn't expect the ancient civilization of mankind to be so majestic, it is really more shocking than the pictures seen in the textbook! Tickets are a bit expensive, but worth it! Almost a thousand Taiwan dollars and will send you a pair of straw shoes and bags, because you can't wear your shoes to rub the ground of the monument. Have the opportunity to really come, super recommended, very worth 😍 #Indonesia #Central Java #Borobudur #Borobudur
I can’t help but to give 5/5 - such underrated place on earth! Best to come during sunrise as you can experience the sun Ray throughout Mount Merapi. Ticket quite expensive to be honest but truly worth experience once in a lifetime.
Although it is expensive, I still bought it, and the service is followed up in time.
Excellent location, beautiful environment, worth visiting
