Beigang Chaotian Temple, also known as Tianhou Temple, is a temple dedicated to Mazu's maidens. Beigang Chaotian Temple is in Yunlin. I usually drive by car. There are many parking spaces nearby, which is very convenient. Chaotian Palace is mainly devoted to praying, because I don’t burn incense, and I usually put my palms together and close my eyes to tell Mazu my wishes. In addition to the main hall, we also have many gods, and it usually takes half an hour to complete a round of worship. Beigang Chaotian Temple is a temple in the Qing Dynasty with distinctive architecture. The snack street in front of Chaotian Palace is very famous. The whole street sells broad beans and flatbreads, offering tastings and diverse tastes. When I was young, my dad often drove me to the Tianhou Temple to buy two large packets of broad beans, and now I drive myself to buy flatbreads to eat. Beigang pie is very famous, and many couples come here to choose the flavor of pie before getting married. Now the decoration of the store is becoming more and more trendy and full of creativity. I sincerely recommend that you come to Beigang Chaotian Temple, which has a history of palaces and temples and a snack culture, which is very authentic Taiwanese. There are many activities held every New Year's Day, which is very hot.
The temple has a long history. People from all over Taiwan gather here for pilgrimage every March. Many cultural relics and statues are collected in the temple. Activities are often held. The temple-related buildings are surrounded by old streets and many bakery shops. 【view】
Beigang Chaotian Temple is the most famous temple in Yunlin and the main temple of Taiwan’s Mazu. Chaotian Palace was built in the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. After many repairs, it is listed as a second-class monument. The front hall is a Xieshan double-edged building with the "Sanchuan Gate" in the center, and the "Dragon" and "Tiger" gates on both sides. The roof is covered with Cochin pottery scissors. The main hall of the second entrance is a triple hard mountain-style building, dedicated to 30 statues of Mazu gods such as the Virgin Mary, Zhendian Ma, and Meizhou Mazu. The third hall is dedicated to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and the left and right are dedicated to Emperor Wenchang and the Great of Sangong. There is a stone drum in the middle door and stone pillows on the left and right doors. In the fourth place, the middle room of the saint parents' worship is opened on the left, around the Nanhua Pavilion, and the Wucheng Pavilion is where the Chaotian Palace Nanguan Music Club is located.
Beigang Chaotian Temple is dedicated to gods such as the Mother of Heaven, Zhendian Ma, Mazu of Meizhou, and Guanshiyin Bodhisattva. When the Han people immigrated to Taiwan since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, because of the steepness of the Taiwan Strait and the frequent maritime activities on all sides of Taiwan, they believed in Mazu for safety.
It took half an hour by car from Huwei Town to Beigang Town. In the distance, I have seen the fireworks of incense. Listening to the broadcast on the bus, the temple was built in the Qing Dynasty. The decoration inside has a history of burning incense and worshiping Buddha. ,very bustling.
