doudourwDifferent routes, different times to see the scenery also has a difference, see the snow see the mountain, in the observatory to see the snow mountain far away, faint, is also a good choice. Skiing here is more fun.

Observation Deck
d36***08The best place to see the majestic nature of the Matterhorn is the Gornergrat Observation Deck. From Zermatt station, take a cogwheel train, after 35 minutes to the end, you will see the observation deck. From the observation deck at an altitude of 3092 meters, you can see the 38 peaks of the Alps 360° from 360°. The most spectacular is the Matterhorn Peak. Looking down, the Gorner Glacier is white, which is too shocking~

Lake
王怡嘉The best place to take the reflection of the Matterhorn. There are two Riffel see, one of which is more convenient. Opposite Zermatt railway station, take the cogwheel mountain train to the last stop Rotenboden and exit the station, then follow the signs and walk down for about 5-10 minutes. It's best to go in the morning, otherwise it will easily be backlit. Best shooting when there is no wind.

Church
d36***08The tallest building in Zermatt is the Catholic church at the end of Bahnhofstrasse. On the alpine train to the Matterhorn, when you look down at the town, the first thing you see is the green spire of the church. Opposite the church is a small cemetery, where the martyrs who sacrificed to climb the Matterhorn are buried; on the small square in front of the church, there is an Alpine trombone more than 3 meters long, which can also reflect the customs of Switzerland~

Museum
_U2***24In the center of Zermatt, the museum is not very big, but it is worth a visit. The Swiss pass already includes the ticket. It will take about an hour or two to stroll. There are also videos introducing some history, which is more interesting

Zermatt Travel Tips

About Zermatt

Located in a German-speaking portion of southern Switzerland, Zermatt is famous for its Alpine ski resorts and mountaineering. The town is surrounded by imposing mountain peaks, of which the Matterhorn is undoubtedly the most famous. Zermatt’s population, though small, is rather densely clustered given the limited usable land. Being heavily reliant on tourism, Zermatt is a friendly and welcoming destination whether you come for the skiing or just a chance to visit a true Alpine town.
