Zhangjiajie was originally called Yongshi. It is famous for its vast and beautiful Wulingyuan Scenic Area, a World Heritage Site. Wulingyuan includes the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve and Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Full of primordial forests, along with strange and magnificent natural landscape, the wondrous landscapes here were one of the inspirations behind the scenery in the 2009 film "Avatar". Other than seeing and enjoying the enchanting natural landscape, Zhangjiajie's Grand Canyon and Glass Bridge are popular places to visit. If you are interested, you can walk across the 430-meter-long glass bridge suspended 260 meters above the valley floor. It's a challenge that will make your heart skip a beat.
_We***35Not only its attractive landscape - which it is scenic and picturesque - everything you can possibly imagine in a fairy-tale setting - is the must-visit to the world's new record of the longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge in Zhangjiajie! A real challenge for the faint-hearted! The trip is worth a million memories!
VasyaIt was my first place in Zhangjiajie and I don't regret it. It took me maximum 3 hours and a half to walk around and take photos inside. Despite the rocks, there is a waterfall, a boat trip and a small labirinth. Before entering the Yellow Dragon Cave, there is a nice park.
豆丁爸看世界The Yuanjiajie Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is famous for being the filming location of the movie Avatar. Take the long-famous Bailong ladder up the mountain. From the bottom of the mountain, the ladder is so high and steep. It is a bit scary. Well, it won't feel high. The scenery is not bad, and the sitting time is not too long. It is worth trying.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park aka “Avatar Mountains” in Hunan province is one of the most beautiful spots in China and worldwide. 🇨🇳 The formations are so unique and the whole scenery is absolutely breathtaking, it really feels like out of a movie. ⛰ It is so easy to get to Zhangjiajie, there is an airport there and plenty of very cool hotels near the scenic area. 🍃 The park area is huge but there are buses included in the entrance ticket going to all the main spots. 🚌 There are also a few cable car rides you cannot miss because they literally take you within the gorgeous mountains. 🤩 Oh, and not to mention that Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is also home to the world’s biggest glass bridge, world’s highest bungee jumping and world’s highest and fastest outdoor elevator. 🌍
Way to heaven!
Making the most of our trip. Most of the time it was misty and cloudy. The scenery was still beautiful nonetheless. China really has some beautiful places. #chinabeauty #chinatravel

#tripaway The Avatar mountains, in China. amazing place amazing view, but have to walk a lot and if you don't like being in the wild well this is not the place for you, you will get bits of a lot of mosquitoes, spiders and who knows what else haha, but really cool experience if you into wild stuff 🤠
