The water of Dinghu Lake is rippling, clear and transparent. The climate is mild, with an annual average temperature of 22.3 degrees Celsius, a high temperature of 38.7 degrees Celsius (August 17, 1990), and a low temperature of -1 degrees Celsius (January 11, 1955). The rainfall is plentiful, with an annual rainfall of 1737.3 mm, the largest rainfall record is 2423 mm (1983), and the minimum rainfall record is 883 mm (1977).
