Zhenjiang II always wants to have a Zhenjiang with important people!
First stop: Xijin Ferry Ancient Street
Location: No. 213, Changjiang Road, Runzhou District, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province
Tickets: It's free (but if you want to go to other places like Guanyin Cave, you have to pay)
Time: Open all day!
"Jingkou Guazhou is a waterway, Xijin Ferry looks at a thousand years"
Xijin Ferry is known as the "Ancient Ferry". Archaeological evidence shows that there were human activities here more than 5,000 years ago. In ancient times, this was a natural harbor. There is a saying: "If you don't go to Xijin Ferry, you don't count as a Zhenjiang tour'
Xijin Ferry is built against the mountain, a main street winds up, the foreground is the ancient city lights, the background is the mountain temple, the eyes are the world's fireworks, and the distance is the quiet mountain scenery.
Follow the sign of the small pier street to find historical relics. The scenery is excellent and antique.
At dusk, under the faint light of the lantern, it seems to have arrived in ancient times.
The alley is not big but the attractions are worth visiting!
√Zhenjiang Museum (former site of the British Consulate): The museum was originally the former site of the British Consulate. It is not large in scale and has few collections. There are two floors, including the Bronze Exhibition Hall, the Gold and Silver Exhibition Hall and the Craft Exhibition Hall. It is free to visit and needs to be booked in advance.
√Zhaoguan Stone Tower (Over Street Stone Tower): Built in the Yuan Dynasty, it is the only over-street stone tower in China.
√One glance at the thousand-year-old stone steps: There is a stone wall in the ancient street, engraved with "One glance at a thousand years". Underneath is the ancient stone steps covered with glass, you can see the changes in the ancient street surface from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.
You must stay in Xijin Ferry for one night!!!
Deeply feel that ancient vicissitudes and historical mystery!
The accommodation arrangement has Xijin Post: The scenery is very beautiful, the interior is mainly warm tones, whether it is a single room or a double room is clean and simple, it makes people feel good to see it. More importantly, it has its own distinctive features. When you check in, it seems that you are really living in Xijin Ancient Street.
The window is very large and the light is good. The golden sunlight fills the roof, and the continuous old buildings are particularly moving. Wake up in the early morning and start a leisurely and beautiful day. You can see the walking old man and experience the slow-paced life, comfortable and comfortable.
Green tiles, stone arches, ancient city walls, red lanterns... The night view of Xijin Ferry can't be missed! You can feel the atmosphere of the ancient city very well, and feel like you have seen a thousand years.
Of course! You can't miss all kinds of food!
Check in the popular bamboo tube milk tea, and there are all kinds of dishes available, just looking at the picture makes people drool.
Finally, parking is very convenient, and there is an underground parking lot.
Taking pictures is really good!!!
Dress recommendation: Ancient style Hanfu, cheongsam
Who hasn't got this vinegar pot fridge magnet yet!
🫙On my first visit to Zhenjiang, I fell in love with Xijindu. Unlike many old streets and ancient towns that are overly renovated or commercialized, Xijindu still retains a lot of historical traces. The stone paths and ancient walls on the mountain, the Yuntai Pavilion was closed due to the rain so the path wasn't open, but it looked quite beautiful when lit up at night, haha
🫙Down by the stage at the foot of the mountain is where all the popular shops are clustered. I randomly picked one that looked nice, and the taste didn't disappoint~ Had a 'Little Gold' handmade drink, satisfying!
🫙Before coming to Zhenjiang, the biggest impression was probably the vinegar. You can buy it in small shops along the way, but it seems you can get it in any supermarket, so I recommend going to Hengshun Vinegar Taste~ It's a large store with a variety of vinegar products, black vinegar, fruit vinegar, fragrant vinegar, a dazzling array, and they also have vinegar eggs and vinegar candy, great for gifts!
🫙The cultural and creative products are even more interesting~ This vinegar pot fridge magnet is really worth buying, haha, too cute
🫙The shop also has commemorative stamps. You need to buy a stamp book, or you can get a stamp with a purchase, but it seems no one really checks
🫙Nearby Xijindu Tourist Center and Zhenjiang Museum Tourist Center also have stamps

Jinshan Temple Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Exploring the Serenity and Beauty of Jinshan
Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, China, is a beautiful and serene temple complex that offers visitors a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The temple is located on a hill overlooking the city, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
One of the most impressive features of Jinshan Temple is its architecture, which is a blend of traditional Chinese and Buddhist styles. The temple's buildings are adorned with intricate carvings and decorations, showcasing the incredible skill of the artisans who created them.
Visitors to Jinshan Temple can explore the many halls and pavilions, each of which houses beautiful statues, paintings, and artifacts. The temple also features a beautiful garden with rock formations, ponds, and bridges, offering a tranquil setting for meditation and reflection.
One of the most popular activities at Jinshan Temple is hiking up to the top of the hill to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the Yangtze River. The hike is relatively easy and takes about 20-30 minutes to complete, but it offers a beautiful perspective on the temple complex and the surrounding scenery.
1 day trip in Zhenjiang? A temple to go
The Jinshan Temple is a popular Buddhist temple attraction in Zhenjiang. If you are fan of Chinese architecture and ancient culture, this is the right place to go.
This temple was initially established in Eastern Jin dynasty (323-325 BC), later became a Taoist temple. Fomerly known as Longyou Temple, became Jinshan Temple during Yuan dynasty. This temple was classified as national key Buddhist temple in 1983.
This temple presents an architectural complex of buildings, halls towers and the special 36m octagonal Cishou Pagoda in the top of the hill. The view from the summit is magnificent. Might be difficult for some people to reach til the summit of the hill, nevertheless the beautiful lake in the base of the temple presents an additional opportunity for a joyful walk.

You are being foolish for not promoting this place in Jiangsu
Compared to the fireworks in March in Yangzhou, this small town of Zhenjiang across the river has its unique 'flavor'. A historic street, traces of a thousand years of history, this is where Xin Qiji once climbed high and reminisced about the past at 'Beigu Tower with a view full of landscapes', and where Wang Anshi felt homesick and restless at 'the green riverbanks of the south in spring'. This small town has inadvertently left behind many historical and cultural relics. It truly is an underestimated treasure city~

Mount Jin Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Charming Zhenjiang, a millennium-old Jingkou
Zhenjiang, formerly known as Jingkou and Runzhou, is a national historical and cultural city. Its main attractions are 'Three Mountains and One Ferry', namely Jinshan, Jiaoshan, Beigushan, and Xijindu. Here lies the legend of the White Lady flooding Jinshan, Su Shi's beautiful verse 'But wish people long-lasting, a thousand miles share the beauty of the moon'; Sun Quan's historical record of 'losing his wife and soldiers'; Xin Qiji's verse 'Where to look at the divine land? Full of scenery, Beigu Tower. How many ups and downs in the past? Long. The Yangtze River keeps rolling.'; The sigh of 'Lian Po is old, can he still eat?'; This general poet from the hometown of Confucius and Mencius dedicated his life to the cause of recovering the Central Plains, lamenting his unfulfilled ambition, expressing his endless desolation and loneliness at the end of his heroic journey; Wang Changling was slandered and demoted in his later years, serving as the county magistrate of Jiangning in a foreign land, and his poignant feelings when seeing off his friend returning home can be imagined. What he entrusted at parting was only the ice heart in the jade pot to reveal his inner feelings. 'Cold rain connects the river and enters Wu at night, sending guests to Chu Mountain alone in the early morning. If friends and relatives in Luoyang ask, there is a piece of ice heart in the jade pot.' Across the millennium, one can feel the poet's reluctance to part with his friend and his concern for his distant relatives as he looks at the distant mountains across the river, and his moral self-encouragement in the face of life's difficulties with the ice heart in the jade pot, remaining true to his original aspiration despite adversity. Wang Anshi was summoned to Beijing, passing through Jingkou and heading north along the canal. When he passed through Guazhou, he was moved by the scenery and wrote the famous 'Boat Mooring at Guazhou' 'Jingkou Guazhou is separated by a river, Zhongshan is only separated by several mountains. The spring breeze turns the south bank of the river green again, when will the bright moon shine on me again', showing Wang Anshi's joyful mood and political ambition through the scenery.
Xijindu Ancient Street is a 4A scenic spot, which has witnessed the evolution of Jiangnan civilization. Every brick and tile on the ancient street carries a heavy cultural and historical heritage, telling the past glory and vicissitudes. Xijindu Ancient Street is the area with the most, most concentrated, and best preserved cultural relics in Zhenjiang, and is the 'cultural vein' core area of Zhenjiang's historical and cultural city. Li Bai, Meng Haoran, Wang Anshi, Su Shi, Lu You, Marco Polo, Qianlong and others have all waited for boats or landed here, leaving many poems for later generations to recite. Xijindu Ancient Street has witnessed the rise and fall of Zhenjiang, and also embodies the local long-standing cultural memory. The ancient street is about 1 kilometer long, with ancient buildings from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties on both sides of the bluestone-paved street. These buildings have unique shapes, with flying eaves and corners, and the mottled walls tell of the long history. The traditional houses built with blue bricks on both sides of the street show traces of history and vicissitudes, taking visitors into the scroll of a thousand years of history. The 'Zhaoguan Stone Tower' in the ancient street is said to be the earliest existing street-crossing stone tower in China. Its shape is like a large bottle, also known as the 'Bottle Tower', which is a historical witness of Zhenjiang. Xijindu used to be close to the Yangtze River and was an important passage between the north and south of the river. With the changes of the times, the river has moved eastward and is now away from the bank of the Yangtze River. But the modern Xijindu Ancient Street still maintains a simple and leisurely atmosphere, and also retains authentic local snacks, such as the famous 'Zhenjiang Yorou' and 'Pot Lid Noodles', which are loved by locals. If you have the chance to come to Zhenjiang, don't miss this ancient 'cultural vein' block. Walking on the stone-paved road of the ancient street, feeling the historical imprint of this city, is fascinating. The ancient block, in its unique way, calls on tourists from afar to appreciate its unique charm.
Zhenjiang, a millennium-old city, with a long history and culture, stands at the mouth of Xijindu, with distant mountains and wide rivers, blending sky and water, with clouds and mists rolling, evoking feelings. The low-key ancient city of Zhenjiang is worth a visit!
Wow! Zhenjiang is simply too beautiful, as if I've stumbled into a fairyland!

Altay
Altay City is in Mongolian, meaning gold. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the Northern Ridge Province, and during the Ming Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the Waci Khanate, the fief of Monk Timur. In the sixth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1867), it was under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Burentai.
Altay region's tourist resources include Birch Forest Park, Five Finger Springs, Jinshan Forest Park, Jinshan Vineyard, etc.

Leisurely visit to Zhenjiang - Beigu Mountain.
🌟🌟Because of a line in Xin Qiji's "Memories of the North Tower at Jingkou, Forever Happy" that says "Through the ages, heroes are nowhere to be found, where Sun Zhongmou once stood," he has always been reminded of the ancient history of Beigu Mountain. Of course, Beigu Mountain first became famous during the Three Kingdoms period, when Liu Bei's marriage proposal took place at Ganlu Temple. Later, Emperor Wu of the Southern Liang Dynasty carried the title of "the greatest landscape under heaven," which made the mountain even more renowned. In another poem by Xin Qiji, "Nanxiangzi: Memories of the North Tower at Jingkou," he writes, "Where can I see the divine land? The view from the Beigu Tower fills my eyes. How many events of rise and fall have occurred over the ages? Endlessly, the Yangtze River flows." This poem fully captures the natural beauty and historical significance of Beigu Mountain.
✅✅The main attractions of Beigushan include Ganlu Temple, Beigu Tower, Duojing Tower, the stone carving of "the first mountain under heaven", Iron Tower, Jijiang Pavilion, as well as Henshi, Liuma Ravine, Shijian Stone and the tomb of Taishi Ci.
💰Ticket price: 40

Crossing the three mountains, following the ancient poetry tour, it turns out this is the Beigu Mountain in many poets' verses. The weather is clear, suitable for mountain climbing.

⚠ Highly recommend Yong'an Fish Restaurant, the pufferfish tastes fresh, and you can also take a photo with a pufferfish and get a pufferfish toy. 🐡 The portion sizes are generous, remember to order in moderation!
Pot cover noodles are everywhere, I tried Tao Da's long fish and beef tripe noodles, it's a surprise for those who don't like eel, not fishy and very tasty! 🤤
🐾 Special note, there are many cute cats at each attraction, cat lovers remember to bring cat food and treats, and enjoy the joy of petting cats to your heart's content! 😸
🙌 Zhenjiang tourism is underrated, it really deserves to be well promoted! Come and experience Zhenjiang! 👏
Jiaoshan
One of the 'Three Mountains of Zhenjiang' (Jinshan, Beigushan, and Jiaoshan), it is a small island surrounded by water on all sides in the Yangtze River. Named after Jiao Guang who lived in seclusion during the Eastern Han Dynasty, it is known for its natural mountain and water scenery, lush trees, and ancient and elegant charm.
Jiaoshan has many historical sites, including a very famous stele forest, Wanfu Pagoda, ancient artillery platforms...
Climbing to the top of Jiaoshan, the Wanfu Pagoda stands on the top of the mountain⛰️, shining under the sunlight☀️. You can also climb up to Xijiang Tower to overlook the Yangtze River, where the water and sky blend into one.
Jiaoshan Dinghui Temple
Jiaoshan Dinghui Temple: Located on Jiaoshan Island, one of the 'Three Mountains' of Zhenjiang in the middle of the Yangtze River.
It was first built during the Xingping era of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1800 years. When Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty visited Jiaoshan during his southern tour, he renamed it 'Dinghui Temple'.
'Ding' means to remove all selfish thoughts; 'Hui' means to increase wisdom through 'hearing, thinking, and practicing'.
When you take a boat to Jiaoshan Island in the middle of the river, the first thing you step into is the historic 'Dinghui Temple'. If you happen to encounter a Buddhist ceremony, the Sanskrit sounds are lingering, your mind is as calm as water, wishing everything goes well and beautifully.
