Open all day (Local time)
The ancient town of Tang Jia Wan is located on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, and lies across the sea from Hong Kong's Lantau Island. The ancient town maintains a cluster of buildings dating back to the late Qing and early Ming dynasties. Not only do they have a long and rich history, they hold a great ornamental value. Delicate embossed wood designs, magnificent roof totems, brick and wood carvings, are everywhere. Walking in the long alley, you can feel a mixture of modern and simple life. The ancient town features many notable places of interest, including the Kuixing civil and military temple, the former residence of political leader Su Zhaozheng, and Chihua Mountain.
