Trees park

According to different functions, the Arboretum is divided into 5 functional areas (including 19 communities), namely, the special science park, the nursery demonstration area, the characteristic genera germplasm resource preservation area, the ecological forest construction demonstration area and the entrance management area. At present, four small parks including Magnolia Garden, System Classification Area, Excellent Native Tree Species Exhibition Area, and Bamboo Garden have been initially built, and other small parks are under construction. More than 1,200 species of specimen trees have been collected and introduced, with more than 15,000 trees, including 95 species of Magnoliaceae and more than 250 species of bamboo, including 7 national first-class protected tree species including ginkgo, unisexual magnolia, and yew. And more than 90 rare and endangered tree species. At the same time, the infrastructure and supporting facilities of Zhongshan Arboretum are becoming more and more perfect, and infrastructure construction such as 15 kilometers of mountaineering roads, 8 kilometers of Huanshan roads, artificial lakes and leisure squares has been completed.
