Miyazaki Hayao didn't deceive me! I've found the real-life 'Castle in the Sky'
🌈Every time I watch Miyazaki Hayao's 'Castle in the Sky', I am deeply attracted by the dreamlike scenes. And this time, I really came to Civita di Bagnoregio, located at the border of Tuscany and Umbria, a place known as the 'Castle in the Sky', as if I've stepped into a real fairy tale world!💖
🚗Departing from Rome, after a two-hour drive, I arrived at this medieval town suspended above a deep valley. At first sight, I was deeply shocked by its unique geographical location and picturesque scenery! The ancient stone paths, mottled stone walls, and simple houses, every inch of land exudes a strong historical charm, making me feel as if I am in the midst of a thousand years of history.🏞️
🏰DAY1, I visited the ancient city's east gate--Porta San Donato, and felt its weathered solemnity and grandeur. Then, I strolled along the winding paths of the old town, exploring mysterious underground passages and historic churches. Every step was filled with surprises and emotions!🌠
🌄DAY2, I climbed to the top of the town, overlooking the surrounding rolling hills, as if the whole world was at my feet. In the afternoon, I delved into the local folklore museum, learning about the ancient city's way of life and traditional crafts. At dusk, I waited for the sunset at the observation deck, and at that moment, I saw the silhouette of the ancient city under the setting sun, breathtakingly beautiful! This was definitely a visual feast during my travels!🌅
🚗In terms of transportation, I chose to rent a car and drive myself, enjoying the Tuscan countryside scenery along the way. Vehicles are not allowed inside the ancient city, but there is a special parking lot for tourists to park their cars. Afterwards, I entered the old city via a pedestrian bridge, starting my adventure!🚌
💖The trip to Civita di Bagnoregio is not only a dialogue across time and space but also a great opportunity to taste authentic Italian cuisine and experience the unique Italian countryside charm. This carefully planned journey has become an eternal treasure in my heart!💎

The ancient city of Bailu Rigeo was built 2,500 years ago on the top of a mountain, connected to the outside by a narrow long bridge, and looked like a castle floating in the air in the distance, so it was called the City of the Sky.
This ancient city is located in Italy, and it is also one of the must-see attractions here. The altitude of the ancient city is still quite high, so it needs a certain footpower. The day I went there was just a beautiful day, a bit rainy, but there was also a strange scenery.
The ancient city of Berlu Rigio in Italy. Built 2500 years ago, on the top of the hill, this ancient little village is located on a huge limestone in a steep valley, connected only by a long stone pedestrian bridge to the outside world, and from a distance looks like an aerial castle, hence called the “City of the Sky,” Much like the scene in the city of the sky, the spirit, the dream, the city has been abandoned for hundreds of years, the inspiration of a famous animated film "The City of the Empty" produced by Japanese animation master Miyazaki came from this castle. The beautiful Bailu Rigio is dying. In 2006, the World Heritage Foundation added White Lurge to its list of “100 most endangered sites”.
Bailu Rigio may not be familiar with everyone, but the sky city of Miyazaki will know, just think of this, super dreamy!
Built two thousand years ago, it is located on the top of the mountain, and it is connected by a narrow long bridge, with valleys on both sides. From a distance, it is like a bridge to a castle in the sky. The inspiration for the famous Japanese animated film "City of the Sky" is from this ancient city.
Jewel on the hilltop. This tiny settlement is magical, fantastic and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
Very spectacular Zhongyi attraction, located at the top of the hill, only by a long bridge to connect with the outside world, you can see the sunrise and the sea of clouds for one night!
