Bali Travelogue (Part IV): Tegenungan Waterfall
Bali is not just about beaches, sunsets, rice fields, mountains, rivers, and lakes; it also harbors even more breathtaking scenery—waterfalls.
Bali's waterfalls can be experienced up close. Such proximity allows one to truly feel the incomparable energy of nature.
There are numerous waterfalls in Bali, but the most popular and famous is this gigantic waterfall (Tegenungan Waterfall), which is also an Instagram-famous spot.
Tegenungan Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Bali and is often introduced as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. It is surrounded by green vegetation, which quietly cools the atmosphere.
Tegenungan Waterfall is a gigantic waterfall located between mountains, surrounded by jungle. There is a path leading directly to the waterfall at the entrance, and those who are brave enough can jump into the water to feel the coolness of the waterfall.
Get ready in your bikini, stand under the waterfall enjoying the spray, or choose to climb to the top of the waterfall and listen to the sound of the stream above.
The waterfalls here cannot be compared with the majestic ones in China, but they have a 'feature': visitors walk down from the top of the waterfall, and the landscape can be seen from any level. You can also enjoy a close view, rather than 'looking from a distance'.
Forest Waterfall Viewpoint
Cost 20k to enter but well worth it!!! You can swim near the waterfall but you can swim down the river.
The road is deep and secluded. The scenery of the waterfall and the tropical rain forest is very beautiful, and the trees and leaves are very large and characteristic. There are many concave nests, so take beautiful photos as much as you like. You can step on the bamboo bridge to go under the waterfall and enjoy your leisure time in the water. It takes some physical strength to climb up~
Many tourists visit, play in the water, take pictures, and have fun. Walk down the long stairs and you can see the waterfall from a distance. But returning after the end, it was a bit hard, and I had to climb a lot of stairs.
Tegenungan Waterfall is the beauty and hidden waterfall in Ubud village, exactly located in Tegenungan Kemenuh town, District Sukawati, Gianyar.
This waterfall is good, not to hard to reach only around 10 minutes walking in clove and coffee garden.
enjoyed the visit to the waterfall. didn’t expect the stairs, but they were manageable. we thought we could enter the water but the current was quite fast and didn’t see other people doing it so we stayed on land
Small waterfall that runs quite deep if you want to swim closer to the base.
