The Eagle's Nest

The Eagle's Nest is a famous Alpine attraction, built on the top of the mountain at 1885 meters high. In 1937, the guest house was built as a birthday gift for Hitler, and then the Eagle's Nest became a place for Hitler to entertain allies and meet with the Gestapo during wartime. Today, the Eagle Nest is open to tourists and has become a mountaintop restaurant and an observation deck.

The Hawk's Nest on the Bavarian hill is definitely the most famous place of World War II, where Hitler committed suicide, once the last bastion of Hitler commanding battles and hiding. It is condescending, overlooking a few tens of kilometers around, and the Eagle's Nest is a very strong castle, although history has long gone, but it can vaguely feel how gloomy this place used to be, how many of the crimes of Hitler in World War II were determined here.

The Eagle Nest is said to have been a military base where Hitler was hiding. It really looks good to hide from the mountains and often cloudy. It serves as a military base. From the elevator on the passage, you can feel a very serious atmosphere. It is said that when the weather on the mountain is good, you can overlook the mountains. The scenery is very shocking. But now you can only understand the history between the wax statues in the building.

Originally thought that the eagle nest refers to Hitler's nest, in fact, the original name of the mountain. As a natural sight, I think it's worth seeing more than the famous King Lake nearby. In the continuous Alps, this is a mountain which keeps a distance from the mountains and stands proudly alone. Therefore, we can see the beautiful mountains, lakes and green spaces without any obstacles. It is indeed a magnificent spectacle. If you know a little about Hitler, Wagner or Richard Strauss's music can increase some perceptual knowledge of the German nation. It takes half a day to visit Hawk Nest. It takes bus and elevator. In peak season, people queue up. After climbing the mountain, they queue up and down. I have about an hour and a half. But the queue of elevators is delayed for a long time, so it is not easy at the top of the mountain. Hawk's nest is seasonal. I went there once in April, but I saw a little comment on the beautiful snow scenery in winter, when I needed to go up the mountain by myself. But I went to a Nazi exhibition near the Hawk's Nest in April and there was an air raid shelter. I couldn't find any information about the relationship with the Hawk's Nest.

On the way to Hawk's Nest, we met a very touching thing. When six of us bought tickets and were ready to take the tourist bus to the mountain, the car with more than 40 seats on board was almost full. Only the last two rows were scattered with a few seats. While six of us were wondering where to sit, all of a sudden, 89 of us in the trunk were wearing camouflage uniforms and Dutch flag emblems. Zhang's young soldiers, Qi Brushu's, all stood up. Under the command of an officer, they left their seats and offered their seats to our six old Chinese silver-haired men. At that time, we were really surprised. At first, we wondered if it was because there were so many people in the car that they wanted to get off and choose another vehicle. Unexpectedly, they wanted to give us good seats. When all six of us sat down, they were in the officer's seat. Under the command, we were all pushed back to the last two platoons. Then we suddenly realized that we were very touched and even thanked. Our former Chinese veterans paid more tribute to these foreign soldiers. When we expressed our gratitude to the commanding officer, we told him that several of us were Chinese soldiers when we were young, and also served as soldiers. Knowing that the sense of responsibility and mission of soldiers all over the world are the same. In order to show our respect, I hope to take pictures with these young soldiers. With the commander's delighted consent, these young sunny and bright-smiling fighters were so fixed in our group photos that they will remain in our hearts forever. We are proud of the soldiers all over the world. Afterwards, we learned that these Dutch soldiers should come from NATO troops and go to the mountains for military training.
