Esna lock

Esna temple is one of the few temples that still has a lot of it’s original color in Egypt. Try going if it’s not too far out of your way. other than that, there isn’t too much else to see in the city.

This is a sluice on the Nile that Aswan needs to pass through during the boat trip to Luxor. This sluice takes about 40 minutes at a time. The sluice river is very narrow, everyone is watching on the deck, and there are several search paddlers below to sell towels.
