Kiyome no Ike
Original Text
It is a pond with a bridge in the center, also called gourd pond. If you cross the bridge of Jonoike from the down approach, you will go away from the hall of worship and the main shrine, so few people headed for Jonoike and it was quiet.
From the Otori of Setame, follow the approach and it is on the right side of the shrine. A bridge is built on the pond, and there are walking paths and benches around it. Since it was mid-May, iris flowers were beginning to bloom.
A large pond next to the toilet in the precincts of the Taisha shrine. I knew there were fish, but I saw a lot of ducks this time. I wondered if it came from somewhere.
It is on the right side of the approach to Izumo Taisha Shrine. It's not that big, but it's a pond surrounded by greenery, so it matches the scenery well. It wasn't the season, but I think you can enjoy it in the season because hydrangeas and lotus are crowded.
After passing through the second torii gate, you will find the pond on your right. I don't know when it's been there, but now it's in good condition, and it seems that seasonal flowers are in bloom, and a little hydrangea was in bloom when I visited.
