Its quite a nice looking waterfall to be honest. Though there's not much to do but take pictures of it and admire it a bit. It's easily accessible and is actually right along the road.Just be aware, i...
It's not a big fall when comparing with the others. It's good to stop for taking a photo if you pass by but it may not worth to drive to there to visit particularly. Otherwise you might be disappointe...
It is close to Kirishima Onsen Market. There is an observatory directly across the parking lot, and at first glance it looks like an ordinary waterfall, but it is a rare "Yunotaki" where hot spring water from Kirishima Onsenkyo gathers and flows down. It is a waterfall with a height of 23 m and a width of 16 m, but the columnar joints of the rock wall make it look like a wave on the waterfall attractive, and the milky blue waterfall basin and the flow feel like a hot spring.
A waterfall where hot springs gather and flow down
Original Text
It is a waterfall where four hot springs of Hayashida, Einoo, Iwodani, and Akira gather and flow down on the upstream side of Kirishima Onsenkyo. There is a considerable amount of hot water and it is spectacular. It has been located on the old road since the bypass Maruo Takibashi was built. From the Maruo intersection side, after passing Maruo Bridge, turn left and enter the old road, you will reach the end. When you enter from the entrance of the old road on the front side, there is a fence in front of the waterfall and it is prohibited to enter. Please note that the parking lot is small only with about 7 cars along the road.
Peaceful small falls
Relaxing place with little visitor pavillion, nice views and calming ambiance - but nothing spectacular. Worth a short detour, not more
It's right at the carpark
