The ruins of Kito Castle are the oldest and full-fledged mountain castle in Japan built in 665 along with the ruins of Ono Castle (Fukuoka Prefecture), and are called "Korean-style mountain castles" because of their structural features. An ancient mountain castle in Saga Prefecture on the prefectural border with Fukuoka Prefecture. It has been selected as one of the 100 best castles to continue. You can drive to the grass ski resort and it is a short walk to the top. Be careful as the water gate side is being restored due to the typhoon

The castle ruins are near the top of Mount Kiyama. Arrived from the trailhead at the foot of the mountain by climbing １ less than an hour.
