Mountains

走遍天下XZ
Mount Puxi is an important attraction in the old town of Luang Prabang, and an important Buddhist holy place. The mountain is not very high. It takes about one or twenty minutes to climb to the top. The upper and lower import and export all pass through the old city. You don't have to worry about getting lost. However, the steps are still steep, coupled with the hot weather, so it is best to choose a more suitable time for one morning and one night. Most people will choose to go up to see the sunset of the Mekong River in the evening, sit quietly on the steps near the Shwedagon Pagoda on the top of the mountain, waiting for the sun to set. The area on the top of the mountain is small and there are quite a lot of people. The trees on the hillside are messy and there are few angles for sunsets, but most people just want to enjoy the baptism of the sunset.

Temples

Xiangtong Temple, the only royal monastery in Luang Prabang, reveals the "tree of life" of causal reincarnation, the reclining Buddha, and the old abbot are the three treasures of the town temple. It is said that before the monastery was built, there was a towering tree here, and later on the back wall of the temple painted this "tree of life", the above pattern is a Buddhist legend of the causal cycle. The old abbot is on the right hand side of the Buddha in the temple, next to the photos of the old abbot, lifelike. The sleeping Buddha is not very easy to find, it is said to be very spiritual, but people who are destined will always see the last side! The gate of the monastery is the cruise ship dock for visiting the Meigong River.

After staying at Luang Prabang Hotel, we took a free bus from the hotel to the town. There was a temple next to the parking place. Look at this name. Then you can go shopping. The temple is well decorated, and a passer-by told us that the temple has a treasure and a Buddha statue in the root of the tree, but it did not open today. I'm sorry to miss it.

The Manolong Temple was built in 1375 by the son of King Faen. There is only one huge bronze Buddha left in the temple. It is not calculated as a base, up to 6 meters high, weighs 12 tons, and was cast in 1372. The Manolong Temple is the oldest temple in Luang Prabang, although the landscape is not very striking. There is a bronze Buddha sitting in the town of Luang Prabang.

This is a Thai-style temple. It was built in 1718 and renovated in 1932-1957. The ruby-red temple is covered with a complex and interlaced gold pattern, and the Sensugaram Temple is undoubtedly one of the most magnificent temples in the ancient Luang Prabang temple.

The typical Chuanqi architectural style highlights the distinctiveness of Shoumugong Temple. Built in 1840, the main hall's straight and inclined roof shows a very rough temperament. The walls and pillars of the hall are covered with golden sculptures, and there are many small Buddhist pagodas around the temple.
