UNEXPECTED MINI WOODLAND PARK
A charming mini woodland park in the middle of Luneburg - not far from the Alt Stadt. A great place to picnic in the warmer weather and there's a very handy REWE supermarket very close by.
This chalky outcropping is the only natural high point in the area. There are a fair number of steps leading to the top, not the '1000 steps' as some people call this. Views from the top make the clim...
The hotel is a very comfortable place, the top is made in a few minutes and the city is a very interesting place when you know the Lüneburg faithful story.

Climbing a little uphill, we reached the top of the Kalkberg, a hill which used to be a gypsum mine, and now offers great views over the old town.
