Azusa Lake

The upper highlands are a relatively good mountain plain, surrounded by towering mountains such as Shaoyue, Sui Gaolian Peak, Changnian Mountains, and the clear blue Asahikawa runs through them, and the virgin forests such as egrets and larch are scattered on both sides. Walking here, it is a spectacular natural scene.

Located in the upper reaches of the Luanchuan in the west of Nagano County, surrounded by Sui Gaolianfeng, Shaoyue, Changnian Mountains and other mountains, it is a small basin with a height of about 1500 meters and belongs to the Central Mountain National Park. The lush vegetation is a mixture of deciduous broad-leaved forest belts and subalpine coniferous belts, along the edge of the river, with willow and pine trees.

The dead trees highlighted on its blue water form a unique landscape with their surroundings. Known as the "thin green fog", the white elm tree buds are particularly popular in June and the red leaves are most popular in October.
