I met this lake when I was running along the Strait Line toward Kawachicho. There was almost no traffic and I didn't meet people. I enjoyed the lake in late autumn for a while.
It is an artificial lake made by Kawauchi Dam . There is a roadside station Kawauchi Lake by the side . Surrounded by green and water, there is a cool atmosphere .
It is a quiet dam lake in the back of the Shimokita Peninsula. Access by public transportation is almost impossible, so you will have to access it by car. There is also a roadside station "Kawauchi Lake" and an observatory on the shore of the lake, so you can enjoy a quiet scene.
