Origin of Ise Shrine
Hibara Shrine is one of subsidiary shrines of Omiwa Shrine. It is located also on Yamanobe no Michi. This shrine is dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami, the goddess of the sun, and the site where the shrin...
This sacred place has an old-style, three-tiered torii in front of the sacred grounds. Worship probably started here about 2,000 years ago. There's a good teahouse nearby. For details, get a copy of "...
It is a short distance from the area around the chopsticks tomb and Honokeyama tomb toward the mountainside road. It is said that the sunset seen from here is good at Mt. Nijo, but it was a pity that I visited in the morning. It is a sessha (shrine of sessha) of omikami Jinja shrine.
It is one of the shrines of Oomimi Shrine, but the distance is quite far. There is no main shrine worship hall, and although the deity is Amaterasu Omimi, the deity is said to be the mountain or tree in the back, and it is a unique shrine that is typical of Japan with natural faith. All the torii gates in three directions are unique to the Nawa torii gate, so it is a recommended shrine.
Arrived from Okami Jinja shrine on the road of the mountainside for about 20 minutes. Unlike Ojin Shrine, visitors feel that the divine body is natural even if it is minimal (generally called Mt. Miwa, but strictly speaking, it is a divine tree located in the back of Mitsutorii). The view of Mt. Nijo from the precincts is wonderful and you can eat lunch here.
