昔は中国山地が海だったことを知れる貴重な施設。まわりを緑に囲まれた山の中なので、驚きも倍増です！また、動植物にクジラの化石など見応え充分。

理科好きは必見！

広島県北の山間部にある小さな自然史博物館です。十数年ぶりに訪れましたが、地学分館が新たにオープンするなどバージョンアップしていました。鳥類や哺乳類の剥製、化石、岩石・鉱物など、展示物は多彩で、学術的にも貴重な資料も沢山ありました。中国山地から見つかったクジラの骨格も展示されていました。
