A World-Class Waterfall
If you ever get a chance to visit Shirai no Taki, do it. It's around a 45 minute drive east from Matsuyama city. It's amazing how many people who live in this city have never bothered to go there. Alt...
Walk about 25 minutes from the free parking lot. The section to the toll parking lot will be walking on paved roads, but you don't have to worry about the heavy traffic as only the car for the purpose of going to the waterfall passes. And the big trees that spread on the left and right are healing itself. You can feel the energy of nature. It is a mountain trail from the vicinity of the toll parking lot to the waterfall, but I go with sneakers. It is a little-known healing spot.
As others have written, there are two parking lots. First of all, the "free parking lot" in the foreground. It is a "paid parking lot" located less than 1km further from here. If you walk from the "free parking lot", there is a shortcut to the "paid parking lot", but it takes more than 20 minutes. There is a free parking lot and you can reach the waterfall in about an hour with your child's feet uphill. There is a parking lot at the top of the mountain, but it is unmanned and costs about 300 yen. It may be recommended for those who are tough. If you enter the ridge road from the vicinity of the toilet on the way, you will also go up to the waterfall. The view from the top of the waterfall is a masterpiece.
When you come out of the parking lot, you will climb the slopes with the snow left. As expected, there are many people who come to see the frozen waterfall this season.
