鳥居の連なる石段を上った先にある神社
有子山稲荷神社は、有子橋を渡り、鳥居の連なる石段を上った先にある神社です。出石城築城の際に、天守閣のない出石城の天守閣代わりの役割もあったようで、出石城の最上部に建っています。本殿はきれいに朱色に塗られていましたが、拝殿の色は剥げていて、古さを感じました。

境内からは出石の城下町が一望できます
ご祭神は稲荷神で旧村社とのことです。出石城の城郭の中にあり、かつ本丸跡よりさらに一段上にあります。城跡に後から創建したのではなく、元々本丸より上の城郭内にあったとのことです。境内からは出石の城下町が一望できます。時計台とお蕎麦屋さん周辺は賑わっていますが、炎天下のためか出石城跡は人もまばらで、さらにその上のここはほぼ無人状態でした。有子山城跡への登山道の入り口がさらに上にありました。
