Walkabout
This is the most spectacularly preserved village that bisects of the creation of the famous Soy Sauce. Really enjoyed a leisurely walk after a simple but tasty lunch.
Once you exit JR Yuasa, you can feel the charm of old small town. It’s walkable and there are many traditional old buildings, it’s like a small museum already.
The historic district of Yuasa is so quaint yet so beautiful. Many of the houses and buildings are well over 100 years old. The narrow streets and countless little shops are reminiscent of Japan's p...
Yuasa Town, Wakayama Prefecture, is designated as a preservation district for important traditional buildings in the country as a town for soy sauce brewing. There is a town while visiting the townhouses and merchant houses with a walking map. There is a sightseeing parking lot across the river, where you can park your car and get a map or pamphlet at the reception before taking a walk. I bought miso with soy sauce and Kusuke Ota at Kakucho.
