It is very lively and people are still busy until after midnight so it feels very safe whenever you come. The restaurant is open late and the cafe is open early so you can always find a place to sit and hang out. If you are in Belgrade, this is definitely a must! Tito's Mausoleum is also called "Flower House". It is the cemetery of Tito, the leader of the Yugoslav Federation. It is called "Flower House" because the tomb has always been surrounded by flowers. However, now, the tomb is surrounded by white rocks. Tito's full name is Josip Broz Tito. He was born in Kumrovec Village, Croatia on May 25, 1892.
During World War II, Tito led the armed forces of Yugoslavia to resist the invasion of Germany and was awarded the rank of marshal in 1943. After the establishment of the Yugoslav Federation, Tito has always been the highest leader of the party and the country. He was both the general secretary of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia and the president of the republic. He died of illness on May 4, 1980. After Tito's death, Yugoslavia did not build a mausoleum, but buried him in the flower house of the presidential residence.
