Matsuzakaya Art Museum will host the "Pokémon x Crafts Exhibition: A Grand Discovery of Beauty and Craftsmanship" from Saturday, April 26, 2025 to Sunday, June 15, 2025.
This exhibition will be held at the National Crafts Museum (Ishikawa Prefecture) from March to June 2023, featuring approximately 80 Pokémon-themed works created using various craft materials and techniques, showcasing the results of inspiration, challenge, and enjoyment.
The artwork was subsequently exhibited at JAPAN HOUSE LOS ANGELES in the US, then triumphantly returned to Japan for displays at the Sagawa Art Museum in Shiga Prefecture and MOA Museum of Art in Shizuoka Prefecture, before finally being showcased at the Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo starting November 1.
Aichi will be the fifth stop on this domestic tour. We plan to add new products to bring you an even more evolved "Pokémon x Craft Exhibition." Stay tuned.

What kind of chemical reaction occurs when Pokémon meets handicrafts? Twenty artists—from living national treasures to young creators—have seriously explored this question. These works evoke Pokémon's appearance, gestures, and even existence itself, tracing memories of evolution, communication, travel locations, and dynamic movements. The Pokémon take delight in fashionable attire like tableware, kimonos, and belt buckles, which brighten their daily lives. When you encounter these artworks in person, will you feel excitement, enchantment, a beaming smile—or just a sudden chill? Discover beauty and craftsmanship amplified through the power of multiplication.

Worth a look if you like animals and are visiting nagiya. Enjoeyed the dolphin show and most of the exhibits.  Food expensive as per theme parks, but plenty of other places to eat as you leave. Nice area right on the port, good place for a break from the city.

Nagoya Castle at 4 PM was beautiful, and I even caught a ninja and cat tour.

We dragged our feet until 4 PM, and the lady at the gate 🧍&zwj;♀️ said we could only visit for an hour, which meant we were finished at 5 PM!

I didn&#39;t expect it to be a student tour day, so I saw a ton of students coming out the moment I entered. I even ran into a couple of ninjas leaving their jobs, and a sleeping cat!

Although the temple tour ended at 4:30 PM, I was a little disappointed I didn&#39;t make it, but Nagoya Castle was truly beautiful and I was quite moved...

Atsuta-jingu Shrine

We went there at night.
We were rushing to see time-limited attractions during the day.
The shrine is open all day, so we went there at night.
There were not many people in the shrine.
We saw several buildings with ancient charm.
We also saw a wine association listing various wines, which was very interesting.
