Hung King's Birthday (Vietnamese: Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương / 𣋼祖雄王 or Lễ hội đền Hùng / 礼会殿雄) is a day in Vietnam to commemorate the Hung King (Hung Phong) on ​​the tenth day of the third lunar month. Since 2007, Hung King's Birthday has been one of Vietnam's national holidays and one of the only two public holidays in Vietnam that is a traditional Vietnamese holiday (the other traditional holiday is the Lunar New Year). 
Hung King is said to be the eldest son of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ. Luo Longjun and Ouji were a prince in the sea and a fairy in the mountains, respectively. They originally lived happily together, but Luo Longjun missed his parents and took 50 sons back to the sea, while Ouji took the other 50 sons to live in the mountains. The eldest son, Hung King, led 49 younger brothers to establish the first dynasty in Vietnam in 4,000 years, named Van Lang. Hung King taught people how to plant, weave, build houses, and raise livestock to prolong their lives. When Hung King was 100 years old, he suddenly disappeared without a trace on March 10. In order to thank him, people set this day as the Hung King Memorial Day.

If you have been on one of these before then you will know what to expect. They are great to get round the city, sight see and learn a little about history. The auto Que can be a little behind at times but it&rsquo;s not a problem. They have open top buses which we did find were quite busy at times and struggled for a seat but we ended up sitting downstairs with the aircon and the view was just as good. Tour guides on the buses are very helpful. We paid on trip and we found it is cheaper then at the desk.

The puppet show was great. The show was in a theater, two times a day, only at night. I came on Saturday, there were a lot of people, and a Malaysian sitting in the back row was the third time. The show center has a pool and all the performances are displayed in the pool. Six voice actors were made on both sides of the pool, voiced for the puppets and played folk music. The puppets were controlled by the puppets under the pool. The puppets needed to be under the pool all the way, which was not easy. The whole show consists of several repertoires, each showing a scene of Vietnamese people&#39;s life. The puppet show is lively and with the voice actor, superb
