The 40th Yanqing District Ice and Snow Carnival in Beijing kicked off on November 22nd at the National Alpine Skiing Center. This year's carnival integrates resources from across the district, offering a diverse winter extravaganza encompassing ice and snow sports, ice and snow parks, ice and snow competitions, ice lantern festivals, ice and snow performances, and local ice and snow activities. Over 100 ice and snow activities and products will run from mid-to-late November this year until the end of February 2026. At the event, on the ski slopes of the National Alpine Skiing Center, 300 skiers, skis and poles in hand, began their winter skiing adventure amidst cheers and splashing snow, officially launching Yanqing's first skiing event of the winter. During this year's carnival, ice and snow enthusiasts can not only experience the "Ruixue Avenue," the downhill training track from the Beijing Winter Olympics that opened to the public for the first time last year, but also enjoy the new beginner teaching area, the famous snow tubing IP "Haituo Bowl," and the longest ski slope in China at 14.5 kilometers, catering to different skill levels.

This time, I chose a small group tour that included a guided tour of the Forbidden City and a special centennial exhibition, and the overall experience was excellent. Our guide, Mr. Fan, a renowned expert from Beijing, provided clear and focused explanations, offering professional yet engaging content, and providing a thorough background introduction to the Forbidden City and the exhibition. He was also very attentive to the tourists, proactively helping us take photos; his service was meticulous and thoughtful, making it a very satisfying visit.

The Great Wall itself is magnificent, but the scenery is somewhat lacking in winter, and the cold and windy weather makes the experience even worse. However, as a place of spiritual significance, it is still worth a visit.

The overall experience at Universal Studios Beijing was fantastic. The rides were thrilling and fun, the shows were top-notch, the effects were stunning, and the technology was amazing. Winter is a great time to visit as there is no crowd. Enjoy the street food and the historical mansion of prince gong. Took about 3 hours in there. Station is BeiHaiBei station and 5 mins walk to the mansion

The Temple of Heaven&#39;s ticket does indeed bear the words &quot;Ticket,&quot; and below it is a photo of the Temple of Heaven&#39;s three gates, thus making it a true ticket.

The Temple of Heaven is arguably the largest park in southern Beijing. While some suburban parks are now large, I&#39;m referring to historical parks. Because it was where emperors worshipped Heaven and prayed for favorable weather, this park is the most sacred and architecturally exquisite.

Because Beijing&#39;s north-south division is based on Chang&#39;an Avenue (east-west), and the former imperial palace was located north of Chang&#39;an Avenue, many temples, parks, and memorial sites are scattered throughout northern Beijing. Therefore, compared to Beijing&#39;s layout, most visitors now focus on the north, often overlooking the Temple of Heaven in the south. There are many buses to the Temple of Heaven, making it easily accessible. In fact, the Temple of Heaven is not far from Qianmen Dashilan in Beijing; it&#39;s almost within walking distance.
