During our visit to the Palace Museum in Beijing, I was impressed by the excellent service provided by our guide, Deng. He was knowledgeable and experienced in history and culture. His explanations were thorough and detailed. He was also considerate of the pace of my elderly family, walking and explaining with us slowly. It was fun to take my kids there during the summer vacation, especially the Decepticon ride. I did it 3 times and my kids did it 5 times. It was so exciting, haha. But the crowds were too scary, haha.

Before going, I thought it would be a large mansion, filled with historical details. Once inside, I was truly impressed. It&#39;s beyond description, a mansion, incredibly large. The tour lasted at least two hours. It was fantastic.

One negative: There&#39;s an official free bag storage area at the entrance to Prince Gong&#39;s Mansion, called the Service Center. I looked online and it said you could leave bags there. Actually, it wasn&#39;t.

You can&#39;t leave cosmetics, instant noodles, small snacks, water, daily liquids, or electronics in your backpack. Unless you&#39;re storing clothes, you&#39;re not allowed to leave them there. Looking at the empty shelves, we each carried a 40-pound backpack. We were too late to find a place to leave them. This was a very disappointing experience.
