Kuiyuan 1922 Art Gallery

Cteraix

Kuiyuan is one of the five major overseas Chinese gardens. It was built by Ma Zhuowen, an overseas Chinese in the United States, in 1922. The building is well preserved and still maintains the previous red brick structure. The shape is square, and the two fake betel nut trees in front of the door are straight and upright. When the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China was to be held, a particularly inconspicuous small house was chosen. The representatives who came to Guangzhou used this building with obvious 1922 as a reference for contact, so Kuiyuan has a special meaning.
Kuiyuan has now been rented by several young people and turned into an art gallery. The first floor is a gallery, where exhibitions are held from time to time, and the second floor is a cafe.

Family, don&#39;t miss Chen Clan Academy when you come to Guangzhou! I went there a while ago, and the experience was amazing. It&#39;s not far from Chen Clan Academy Station on Metro Line 1, Exit D. The ticket is only 10 yuan, which is very cost-effective!

As soon as I stepped into the gate, I was shocked. This building is a &quot;clan ancestral hall&quot; jointly built by the Chen clans of 72 counties in Guangdong during the Qing Dynasty, full of historical sense. The whole layout is very regular, with three roads and three entrances, a total of nine halls and six courtyards. Walking inside is like traveling back to ancient times.

What amazed me most was its &quot;three carvings, two sculptures, one casting, and one painting&quot;. The pottery sculptures on the eaves are colorful, and the characters and animals are lifelike; the brick carvings on the walls are exquisitely crafted, and each one seems to be telling a story; the wood carvings are all over the beams, delicate and smart. There are also exquisite stone carvings, gray sculptures, and painted murals. Every detail shows the superb skills of Lingnan craftsmen. It&#39;s really amazing!

In addition to the architecture, the museum also displays many precious cultural relics and traditional crafts, such as Guangdong embroidery and wood carvings, which gave me a deeper understanding of Lingnan culture.

After visiting Chen Clan Academy, you can also go to the nearby Xihua Road to eat various authentic foods. It&#39;s a perfect day! I strongly recommend everyone to come and experience it!
